No it is not okay to neglect/endanger your children. I have three children and if I didn't have the time to take them in with me every time then I didn't have the time to go. I would get them out of their car seats just to "run in for a carton of milk". These are my children, they are my responsibility. If you don't want the responsibility don't have the children.
