It’s Honestly Not Too Difficult…Cheaper If You Go To Junk Yard And Get One And Install It Yourself Or Outta Shop, Otherwise You have To Buy Brand New And + Labor….

depends on the car but it will usually run 90 to 150 dolars for one at autozone, if you go to a junkyard and get one you will probably run into the same problem you are having now! just get a reman. part from autozone.

Most water pumps cost from $20 to $120 and are easy to replace yourself.
Labor might cost $100 to $200

Depends on the car… But when your water pump goes it can also do other damage within the engine. So it could be anything from £100-200 upwards. I really would take it to a garage if it has failed…

Well that would depend on what kind of car you drive. Since you have not told us it is really hard to say
But I think from 100-1000 should cover it.
I can give you a better idea if you supply us with more information

Better go buy the part yourself from the authorised dealer then take it to the garage for change. This way you can avoid being screwd up by the mechanic.

First off, find out how much the cost of the water pump for your car cost. Try looking at pepboys (www.pepboys.com), your dealership, mechanic shops, and other car parts stores. While you have them on the phone ask them how much the labor is and how long does the the average job take. The amount you will be paying is the cost of the part plus labor. Keep in mind that this is only an estimate. Always add on an extra hour of labor so you don’t get hit by sticker shock. The last time I purchased a water pump, it was approx. $250.
If you have any friends that are mechanics, ask them to do th work for you at a reduced labor cost and buy the part yourself.

Depends on the car, and if you do the work yourself. Normal Chevy V8 in Alaska, runs about $198.00 new and $95.00 rebuilt, labor is anywhere from $200.00 to free.

uk or usa go down your local garage it depends on your car if the timeing belt has to come of. then it could be a bit expensive because thry will replace the timeing belt at the same time as the water pump. you could try some rad weld see if that works.good luck

Without knowing what type of car you have, the best we can do is to offer you a guess. Most water pumps require very little mechanical experience. Most, but not all, fan pulleys connect to the water pump. Usually removing the belt, perhaps removing the fan blade, and then removing 3 to 4 bolts should have the water pump off the engine. Change the thermostat at the same time!!! The increase in cost is usually less than $7, so changing it now saves labor later. Make sure you pick up the necessary gaskets at the same time. Check your belt to see if it shows signs of wear such as cracking or glazing. If so, this may cost you $40 to $60 for a new belt. A remanufactured water pump should run under $100.
If you can get your hands on a Chilton’s Manual for your car, it should give you easy directions to follow.
Good luck!

hi im a mechanic and a water pump can cost between 15 and 100 pounds 15 being an astra or something and a hundred being a bmw at an educated guess a megan pump will be between 20-40pounds and the fitting of is around 3-4 hours labour you will also be charged for a new timing belt and possibly a new alternator drive belt

about 3.5 hours labour for an 8 valve engine and add an hour for the 16 valve.
